I cannot believe this is my first blog post of the year, but here we are. The end of 2017 was a (very) wild ride, but 2018 is starting out strong and I intend on keeping it that way! I won’t get into “new years resolutions” because:
- I am 24 days late to that conversation.

Not only is this my first post of the year, it is also my first outfit post! I am assuming that is why you all are here, right? Before we move on any further I would like to point out that is chunky sweater is a must and on sale here. You’re welcome!
I recently started working from home full-time and that opened up a whole new ballgame when it came to getting dressed in the morning. I say it often, but I am really a t-shirt and jeans kind of gal. If am I being really honest, I prefer a good pair of sweats over anything else. Side story: I bought a sweatsuit set at Wal-Mart while I was home for Christmas and it was by far one of my favorite purchases.
For the first few weeks I found it really hard to get fully dressed in the morning. I had really settled into a morning schedule and getting properly getting dressed was not on my to-do list. I typically take a 7AM barre or pilates class 3 days a week, grab a coffee on my way home and start on emails. By the time the work day ended I would feel in a funk because I technically never got dressed that day. I felt sloppy and regardless of everything I had done that day I still felt like I hadn’t done much of anything.
The solution was simple in theory: just get dressed. I started with the easy combination of an oversized sweater and jeans. It is always an easy go-to and I started feeling like a real human again. I know it sounds crazy, but you try not getting properly dressed for two weeks! You will start to feel a little off. I promise.
