Happy Monday, darlings! I can’t believe another week has come and gone. My son was out of school last week for his Spring Break, but thanks to adulting they still had to go to daycare all week. That’s not to say I didn’t get our fun time in. I took a day trip to see one of my best girlfriends, and we took all the kids to the Atlanta Zoo. Seeing the kids’ faces light up when they saw all the animals made me forget my guilt and just truly enjoy our day. Do any other working momma’s out there ever feel guilty for not spending enough time with your kids? Sometimes I want to go back to staying at home with them, but I also love my job. Why can’t we all just have our cake and be able to eat it?
My kids are what move me. They drive me every day to be better and work harder, to be a loving mom and even stronger human being. Being a full-time working momma and trying to manage a household and a blog can feel like a huge weight sometimes, but when each of these things are driven by love it makes it so much easier. And 100% worth it!
I love fashion and the way clothes move people. Personal style is constantly evolving (especially mine) and it’s an industry that truly never sleeps. Sometimes it’s hard to find the inspiration you need to really feel your looks with all of the in-and-out trends and fads, especially when life gets busy and you don’t have the time or energy to fully commit. Sometimes, you just need to go back to the basics. A knit v-neck sweater paired with a button-up is such a classic look, but can be easily updated with a knot and statement necklace. Creating this outfit was fun and easy, and gave me some perspective on how to utilize my basics to create current looks.
