This or That: Denim on Denim

Courtney already introduced some denim on the blog this week (if you didn't see the jean jacket she got from Forever21, you should probably head that way about now), but we're excited about allover denim-on-denim looks. Stephanie went for a softer look and broke up the denim with a sheer blouse that peeks from under the chambray shirt. Courtney went for an all denim look with nothing in between. The patchwork denim shirt is enough on its own. We will make this post short and sweet, but this won't be the last you see of a denim overload.

Floral Sweatpants

I have the day off work today, so thus far I've been spending it in these awesome sweatpants. Not because I actually get to be lazy and lounge around the house though. Naturally I have 32942375 things to do today that involves leaving the house. But these sweatpants were an easy item to grab and add some coordinating separates. I pretty much just want to own as many cute sweatpants as possible, because it creates the perfect "casual chic" look. I've linked some other pairs I've had my eyes on at the bottom of the post! Love this tank, also - it's under $30 and it comes in over 10 different colors. I'll probably be going back for more of these as well.

Light Layers

After a long hiatus from the blog we are very happy to be back. Sorry about the disappearance of the site, we hope that everything stays up and running with no more problems! Two exciting things happened as of lately: my little sister is town visiting for the week and I finally purchased a denim jacket. I never knew so much work went into deciding what denim jacket you wanted. You have to think about the wash of the denim, length, fit, distressed or not. After dragging my sister all around Soho with me I came across this jacket sitting solo in the corner of Forever21. Fate? Sure, let's call it that.

The up side to not investing a lot into this jacket is that if I wear it once or twice I won't feel so bad. For only $27 I feel as if I have already gotten my money's worth. If you are also on a wild hunt for a denim jacket let me help you: light wash, white denim, dark denim, loving this option at Gap, distressed denim.

What are your thoughts on the denim jackets making a comeback? Just think, easy light layers for Spring weather.

Cobalt + White

It's funny where we find outfit inspiration from sometimes. I got my most recent shipment from Rocksbox over the weekend, and inside I found this gorgeous gem necklace from Urban Gem. It has all these pretty blue stones mixed in with a couple of silver and white, and it gave the idea for an all over cobalt/white combo. I also recently got these white distressed skinny's for Spring, so I've been jumping at any chance to wear them, which could have also aided in the outfit inspiration here. But I love the way it turned out! Bright and springy, just the way I like it.

Mint Crop

Courtney in a maxi dress yesterday, and today I'm in a crop top!? We're definitely saying goodbye to the winter blues, and hellooo spring mint! This color is going to be everywhere this year, and I'm not upset about it at all. I love this cute little flouncy crop tank, I've tried it on with a ton of different shorts, pants and skirts and it pretty much looks adorable on top of anything. It was still a little breezy this weekend, so I wore it with my go-to James Twiggy's. Another thing I love about this outfit is this jacket. A good spring jacket is always nice to have because the transitional weather around this tine of year is typically pretty finicky, and you never know when you're going to feel a gust and want that extra layer. I saw this one at Dillard's (I work there now AND its one of the few places I can actually shop in Augusta), but I love everything about it. The nude pink color, (faux) leather accents, and the asymmetrical cut around the waistline...it's just too good. Plus it's on sale, so there's that. It's going to be the jacket I constantly reach for because it's a great neutral and it fits like a glove. You can shop this entire look below! Have a great Wednesday, darlings.

Maxi Dress

Happy St. Patrick's Day from New York - in a maxi dress! No green here, but as always, it's the thought that counts right? These photos were taken last week when it was almost 60 degrees out. SIXTY. I didn't pull out a mini skirt (although maybe I should have), but instead I went straight for my maxi dresses that I have been missing over the past couple months. A maxi dress is a warmer weather staple for me. It is easy to throw on and still add layers too if needed.

I am really keep my fingers crossed for warmer weather this next week as I have company coming in town. My little sister is coming to visit for her spring break and I could not be more excited to have her stay with for me a week! You can follow our adventures over on Instagram (I will try not to overload your feed!).
